Ok these are the goldfish from my pond project at the beginning of the summer. I had a video where I tried out a kiddie pool as a project with some feeder goldfish. It worked out really well but they were disappearing left and right so I brought them in here until I can build a better pond. It turns out there are two owls living behind our house that were using the pool as a buffet. I just found out about the owls here in the last month while swimming at night.

Anyway there were about 14 feeders from the pond that made it and are living temporarily in here. Then I added Columbus who I have had for over a year hes the big guy in the tank. Then I was so in love with the idea of a goldfish tank that I got myself two fancy goldfish. A black moor whom I have named Nermal and a calico something who I call Emmit. Those two will be my permanent indoor goldfish. The rest will be going into a DIY outdoor pond constructed the right way and owl proofed at a later date in time. For now to handle the bio load of all these fish I do a weekly water change.

You wouldn't think so but I actually do have pretty good water quality in this tank. Oddly enough this is actually my favorite of my smaller tanks at the moment.

Generally it has a blackwater look because of the tannis from the wood but I just did some tank cleaning and a water change before these videos.

  • @MegaPlanelover lol Actually I am not "doing" animal cruelty. That is called the food chain. Animals are eaten in the wild all the time and technically these fish were sold as feeders. Oh and if you noticed this was two years ago so they have all been eaten by my oscars now anyway so no need to waste your breath fighting for them. A last note, if you think allowing an owl to eat a feeder fish is cruel then you have never seen animal cruelty.

  • Yeah no problem. Its always best to help each other so they can know more
