  • If Game Developer's would stop porting games from console to PC we would see alot better quality of a PC game and DX11 would really shine, thats my opinion!!!

  • Crytek spent months working on their DX11 patch for the PC version on Crysis 2, and the tessellation was fucking awful, it's a really broken technology at the moment.

  • @ezjohny1 console users will whine about the price :L

  • next intel architecture called haswell will support directx 11.1 with windows 8

  • Consoles should have technology with DX11 in them so we could get better games for Multi-Platforms! I'm looking forward to next generation in gaming people!

  • @95928225 i really doubt that microsoft will allow Sony to use direct x :D

  • @95928225

    I still don't see any need for DX12 at all......but that's me.

  • @rashidhumine Not really. It is said that the new xbox and ps4 will have DX11 since they will work under the new unreal engine showed in ''the samaritan.'' And when those consoles come out, PC will have DX12 hahaha.

  • @rashidhumine

Ack, I didn't mean the actual game at all, it's just a shoddy DX9 game.

  • @Usul573 lol, well the Avatar Game itself looks like sh*t compared to the film graphics...

  • @rashidhumine

    Pretty much haha.

If you take a good look at the Unreal Engine demos, Crysis 2 DX11 videos, and 3DMark11 videos, all in HD, you can see that it basically can do Avatar like stuff.

The thing is, Avatar took 4,000 computers working for an incredible amount of time, and over 1,000 TB of storage.

A high end computer doing everything in real time now can't quite do that, but DX11 technology is essentially limitless and has all the technology to "play Avatar"

No game at it yet though.
