In this talk, Nicholas Barberis, the Stephen & Camille Schramm Professor of Finance at the Yale School of Management, will discuss the role that irrational thinking and decision-making may have played in
the development of the current economic downturn. Drawing on ideas from both social and cognitive psychology, he will shed light on this relatively neglected
aspect of the crisis.

This lecture was delivered at the Association of Yale Alumni Reunion Weekend on June 5, 2009.
