The brush I used is a sheep hair brush similar to the "peony" brush at BHA:

  • i dont get the Foot part....

  • Do you think the foot of the bow is "wrong" in your perspective?

  • i dont think its wrong. just different -but in a good way! after watching the video again i saw it from a different perspective, and it looked great- both traditional, and realistic

  • You got it! In Chinese painting, the contours are drawn according to psychological truth and design values at the expanse of foreshortening, shading and perspective.

  • How do you buy glue (peach) to mix with water? in San Francisco area. Red Dragonfly

  • You may get it from my website now.

This peach glue powder is made from natural peach tree sap through traditional process. It is very water soluble. To apply, simply add it to the water you use for mixing sumi ink and colors to reduce bleeding or smearing as desired. Its clear transparency protect the chroma and values while ink or colors are diluted with peach glue water.

  • I forgot to ask, where do you get the peach glue?, can I use a substitute with regular glue?, and what is the name of the colours you used for the cherries ? Thank you! and hope that it is not too many questions, I would very much like to replicate your bowl of cherries. I even have a chinese stamp with my name :)

  • That was so beautiful and yet so simple. thanks for sharing :)

  • where do yu get peach glue water

  • dont worry, i get it now

  • i dont quite get it, it looks interseting, like the foot is the base, so is solid and square, and the place is holding the cheriies, (correct me if i am wrong) but, i dont quite understand, or is that it?

  • I think the peach glue water is just what I need. thanks for sharing that tip
