IRAQ PTSD

This Film was made for my one criminal justice class about the effects of Post Traumatic Stress on soldiers. I am an aspiring film maker who unfortunatly cannot afford film school so it would mean a great deal if you could please leave comments so I know what to improve on and what you like. I am also in the military so if any soldiers watch this I would love to hear your stories VIA youtube messeges and any comments you may have. One of the best pieces of advice I got on overcoming PTSD is: 1) Get Real 2) Get Over it 3) Get on with your life. The most important part of this is step 1 - getting real - it's underanding that it WAS NOT YOUR FALUT.

I met a soldier home from the war who was suffering terribly.

He was very angry. I tried to tell him that he was actually crying instead. War can be heartbreaking. It's good when soldiers break through the anger to the tears. That's healing.

Anger is like a barbed wire fence keeping out that wilderness called grief. It's good to go ahead and cry. Crying can be a very good thing.

A proud servicemember has a hard time admitting and asking for help. Add the fact that it takes an act of congress to qualify for aid and the fucked up meetings don't do shit but remind you of war I would say the system is a set-up for disaster.... I been saying it for years! When the troops come home, so does the war! Get ready America, because here it comes!!!!

@Warriors63215 What were the reasons for being in Iraq and Afghanistan? Weren't for Weapons of Mass Destruction where they like Bush had said? It was for one thing, oil!
