The only way to improve vehicle safety meant crash testing real cars over and over. Go to http://gtchannel.com for more car videos and content. Today, with the help of computer simulations, countless important tests can be run on a single vehicle without denting a fender. Just a few years ago, a new design like the Chevy Cruze would have required nearly one hundred live crash tests.

  • simulations don't mean shit.

  • @iggy151 It doesn't matter how much the engine shifts. As you see, the main part where the passengers are located is still solid. The point of a good crash test is good crumple points, and how good the force of the impact is transferred around the vehicle cabin. If the car where not to crumple at all in a crash that speed, than the crumple would not have absorbed energy, and ALL the energy would go towards the cabin, and the people would definitely be dead.

  • Crashing and seeing the outcome of the car is not enough. You need crash test dummies to see what happens inside the car to the person. Imagine the car is excellent at crash tests. But the seat is not supportive enough, and in the event of a crash, the person gets jolted around so much, the force of their movement causes them to strike the window so hard even the airbags wouldn't help it making them fracture their head. They also need to simulate the dummy. So far, I only know Lexus does that.

  • @iggy151 if course it is totaled in a crash like that, dummy....

  • 0:28 that motor shifted almost a foot. Car's fucking totaled THAT easily??

  • our hard earned tax money at work simulating taking it in the rear. please chevrolet fire the designer that is copying honda, and the marketer that is targeting queerbaits.

  • Chris hanson from catch a predator??!!

  • Thats Chris Hansen of Dateline? :o

  • "Much less expensive and faster," That's the thing, it's a shortcut, test some real cars you maniacs!
