"Oh I totally forgot to introduce myself, I'm Roxy," one of the girls said. She had gingery brown hair and blue eyes. "I'm Nick's girlfriend," Roxy said smiling as she got into the backseat.
"And I'm Liz," the other girl said as she got in the driver's seat, which left me with the passenger's seat. "As you probably guessed I'm Kevin's girlfriend," Liz said. Liz had light brown hair that went just passed her shoulders and hazel eyes.
"How long have you known the guys?" I asked as Liz started driving.
"A while," Liz replied.
"Just before they became huge. So about 3 or 4 years" Roxy added.
"How long have you guys been dating?" I asked, but then suddenly thought I might be too nosey asking. "Sorry if I'm being nosey," I added.
"Don't worry about it, you're one of us now," Liz said as she smiled at me. "I've been dating Kevin for about 5 months or so and you've been dating Nick for like 4 months right Roxy?" Liz said.
"Yeah," Roxy replied. "So are you Joe's age?" Roxy asked.
"Uh, a year younger I think. I'll be 19 in October," I said.
"You're going to love hanging out with the guys, they're awesome," Liz said. I knew I had to ask them the question that had been on my mind for a while, I just didn't want to. I didn't really want to talk about it, but I had to at some point. Might as well get it over with.
"So what did Nick and Kevin tell you about me?" I asked.
"That you're their new guitarist and you needed new clothes," Liz said.
"Why? Is there something we should know?" Roxy asked.
"Uh, yeah, you're going to find out anyway so I might as well tell you now," I said. "5 years ago my parents died in a fire and so I've been playing my guitar on the street since then and that's why I need to go shopping," I explained.
"Wow, I'm sorry," they both said not knowing what else to say. We pulled up to the mall and Liz found a parking spot. I had never been to this mall, if I had I don't remember.
"So what store do you want to go in first?" Liz asked.
"Uh, I don't know," I replied.
"Hmmm, I think you would like American Eagle, what do you think Liz?" Roxy asked.
"That's always a good store to start at," Liz agreed and we headed over to the store.
We walked into the store and instantly almost all the clothes caught me eye. Everything looked so cute. I walked around the store picking up clothes that I liked. Liz and Roxy picked out some stuff that they thought would look good too.
"Why don't you go try this stuff on," Liz suggested.
"Okay," I said and headed to the fitting room. I ended up liking everything I tried on so I bought it all. I got a few summer dresses, a bunch of shirts, a few shorts, and a skirt. I spent over $200 and I cringed slightly at the total. I've never spent that much in one store before.
"Don't worry about the total," Roxy said noticing my face. "There's plenty more where that came from," she said.
"Trust me the boys spend more than that in every store they go in," Liz laughed.
After that we went into almost every other store in the mall and I continued to buy tons of clothes. I felt a little guilty for spending all this money, but Liz and Roxy assured me that to the Jonas' what I was spending was nothing. Roxy and Liz had to help me carry all my bags, we had spent over 3 hours in the mall. We walked back to the car, but we were stopped before we reached the car.
"Liz? Roxy?" someone said from behind us and we all turned around. There was a girl with short brown hair and green eyes standing in front of us.
"Hey Vicky," they both said.
"How are you? I haven't seen you in a while," Vicky asked.
"Yeah we haven't seen you since you know," Roxy said.
"Have you talked to Joe lately?" Liz asked.
"Once or twice, not a lot," Vicky replied. "Who's this?" Vicky asked.
"Oh, this is Devon, she's the new guitarist for the boys," Liz said introducing me.
"Hi," I said.
"It's nice to meet you. Well, I need to get going it was nice seeing you guys. We should hang out sometime," Vicky said.
"Yeah," both Liz and Roxy agreed.
"Who was that?" I asked.
"Vicky, Joe's ex," Roxy explained.
"The one he broke up with a few months ago?" I asked.
"Wow, Joe told you that already?" Liz asked.
"Yeah, I kinda asked him if he had a girlfriend when I heard you guys were taking me shopping," I said.
"Oh," Liz said as she unlocked the car. We drove home talking the whole way about random things. Roxy and Liz helped me bring all my bags into the house and set them on a table.
"Looks like you were successful," Joe observed.
"Yeah," I replied.
"You guys staying for dinner?" Nick asked.
"Wish I could, but my mom wants me home," Roxy answered.
"Same," Liz said.
"Okay, we'll see you later then," Kevin said.
"Yeah," they both replied. Roxy and Liz gave their boyfriends a kiss goodbye and headed out.
