it was good, they just missed the mark by not having enough bullet time/matrix scenes.

I saw the movie. It was 50% following the plot of the game. They should have done more research

That's right Marky Mark! Just say NO to sequels! Probably the smartest thing I ever heard an actor say in regards to career boundaries.

It looks like he even knew the game history!! Crap!

It's still the best trasnlation of game to movie we've seen yet. Hitman was a good action flick, but it missed the mark. Resident Evil went off on completely irrelevant tangents with a character I felt deserved to be eaten five minutes into the first movie. Bloodrayne...let's not discuss. Any other game-turned-movies worth mentioning?...Nope.
It was good for what it was. I thoght it was faithful enough, and drew enough of the little gimmicks from the game (like bullet time), that it was good.

I hope they don't do a sequel, he saw the game. Didn't actually play it, I don't think ONE person that was involved with this film actually played Max Payne or else this movie wouldn't be as far off from the game and Mark Wahlberg wouldn't be Max Payne. I mean James Mccaffrey did a great job providing the narrative voice for Max Payne. Sam Lake must be shitting his pants right now.
