who long is it supposed 2 take? and is sto compatible w/ intel chips?

@spock4450 As far as I know, the Wineskin wrapper works at it's best with intel chips. I installed STO several times using both methods shown in the video many times, and the time to install varied on each. Again, I'd recommend posting in the thread that's linked in the description if you continue to have problems.

Nice video there chief. However, I'm stumbling at the first hurdle with this...

I've a shiny new MacBook Pro 17". I downloaded the Wineskin main app, the STO downloader and set off to work. The downloader box appears as it would on a PC however crashes out and causes an "unexpected" wineskin error. Am I doing this wrong by pointing wineskin directly at the executable file or should I be digging deeper within the file?

Or... should I just buy the retail box?

Do you have access to a PC? I would recommend just borrowing a PC from a friend, and copying the "Cryptic Studios" folder to a flashdrive. I haven't tried using the downloaded version. I wouldn't recommend buying a retail box unless you want to because of the price.

With version 2: during install I get message: Unable to register with games explorer: What does that mean and how can I go around it?

@Blackdoug1 Have you got the full game disc inside your mac? If so you should see it. I managed to find the offical STO download with the program installer, but I discovered I need the disc to use the installer. So if you got the disc it should pop up in your harddrive. I put my Kotor2 game and even though it was pc and won't work I found it. If it wasn't there how the hell would u be able to eject it from ur mac?

@duncanlovesscifi360 lol I just bought it today on Amazon, made my first account and got golden edition! Hope I'm awake and in the house when it comes, cause it won't fit in the letterbox. And my mum will then find out and I'm dead! Finally I can play USS Voyager my fav ship because I love capt. Janeway! Favourite captain next to Picard. If You want add me and I'll be your first online bud, newbies are stronger together. Plus I have a friend in a fleet that can help us.

When I click "Install Star Trek Online" and look for the disk, the disk isn't there. So I search All my files, and I don't even find "setup.exe" anywhere on my computer.
