@1981Galadriel I think if the times were different, and if Henry wasn't burden by what was expected of a King, his relationships with his daughters and with his wives would have been vastly different. People judge Henry by the standards of modern times, but they forget that in that period of history, being royalty, being King, things were not the same. If Henry had lived in our times, he would have been free to love his girls the way he wanted to and not have it tainted by expectations.

I always wondered at 1:23 - did he know it was Mary he was bowing to, or did he just assume it was some pretty young girl? Because afterward when he and Jane went to see Mary, he didn't seem to recognize her.
