We are already counting down to the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. We do that by looking back to recent editions of Europe's favorite TV show. This time we go to 2005, when the contest was held in Kiev, Ukraine

Helena Paparizou represented Greece in the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'My Number One'. She won the grand final.

  • @inceptiongirl Are u serious? Helena's dancing was very easy. I'm professional dancer and I know many things about that crap. I agree about Sertab but Ruslana danced way harder and she had much harder dance moves

  • @MonikaAhatX ruslana and sertab didn't do half the dance helena did...her vocals are perfect considering the performance she managed to pull off!!!!!!!

  • @MegaVaskar kemençe is persian word AND horon is greek word.. what a harmony :O

  • @erhanvb Also, The Pontic Greeks of the Pontians are an ethnic group traditionally living in the Pontus region, the shores of Turkey's Black Sea. Pontians were historically Christian Greeks who were persecuted, beginning in the 15th Century, by the Ottoman Empire. These are the historical sources my friend (from wikipedia). So, this dance is 100% greek.

  • @erhanvb Turkish Dance???? Its a very ancient greek dance my friend! See what wikipedia says: The horon (Greek: Horos), which devires from the Greek word choros (Greek: (ο) Χορός). The dances called Horoi (Greek: Χοροί), singular Horos (Greek: Χορός) meaning literally "dance" in both Ancient and modern Greek language, are circular in nature and are each characterized by distinct short steps." There are so many information there... google the word "horon" and read!

  • @erhanvb Ya, right... Dream on!

  • @erhanvb

    keep dreaming...

  • fffff

  • Nice music!

    Greece+Serbia=brothers!

    Greting from Serbia ;)
