Identity theft ramble

What to do when your identity get's stolen
1. Find out as much as possible about the person that did it, address phone # name
2. Find out the company that sent the debt to collections and report to them the fraud
3. File a Police report
4. Prepare to send a letter to the company requesting the collection/debt be taken off of your credit report.
5. Press Charges if you can

@statutue You still love the lady that stole your identity? There are also practices that you can take on your part to help prevent identity theft. Don't use your real name online, dont' give your information to strangers and if you get emails asking for your name, address, and more never never EVER give them that information. They sell it to companies and people that will steal yur identity.

@statutue Oh my goodness, that's a long time to try and get it back together, have you already put a block on your items? You can call and freeze everything unless you give specific authorization to get credit cards, put your name on do not call lists and call all of the creditors and send them letters and things to get that taken off of your credit after explaining how it was identity theft.

We have 2 kids together dats why i didnt press charges but shes 35 i just turned 25 in shes trying to destroy my life

I would do the same! Do what you have to because that messes w/ your credit. People have no scruples its sad. Hope it gets sorted.
