Honestly, if you want to check and make sure I'm not being abusive, you can ask about this video and all your questions at ferretuniverse.

Many people misunderstand ferrets because they unlike any other pet out there, so I don't mind when people get upset, as long as they are willing to seek the truth!

You are very right, a ferret should never run around in the open! U_U Her getting loose after the slide was totally unexpected, and I was completely worried until we got her back! :)

I realise this comment is two years late, but a friend of ours just gave us a butterfly net and the ferrets LOVE it! ^__^

@LittleDende Get outta here.... You weren't being abusive. That ferret loved going down the slide as evidenced by its behavior after it got off. It ran and played like an excited ferret and came back to its owner's feet. I laughed at it. Mine behaved like that after her bath... WOOOOOO- HOOOOOOO!!!! To those reading this... Learn more about ferrets and their behavior before making any extreme comments. If you want to know, ask the owners. They'll tell you. They love to talk about their ferrets.

*Part Two*

One other thing is that ferrets are actually really not very fragile at all. :) They are some of the toughest critters out there, probably because they are carnivores (hunters) and if a ferret bit a human they way they bite each other, we'd be ripped to shreds. If you have lots of experience with hamsters or bunnies or pets like that, I can see why you'd think ferrets are fragile too, but honestly they are very, very tough, and love to play rough.

I can see you've never really been around ferrets.

First, go to the message board at ferretuniverse . com so you can find out from all the owners there that I'm not lying.

Ferrets have really different behavior than cats or dogs, and a lot of people that don't know how ferrets act often think they are really mad or scared, when in fact they are very, very hyper and excited and having lots and lots of fun. :)
