A flock of sheep urgently needed our help after their ex-owner, who has been prosecuted and banned from keeping livestock, threatened to shoot them. While Police took the man into custody, we rushed to their aid to bring them 200 miles to the safety of the Sanctuary. This film shows the sheep, who we had previously agreed to help, as they arrive at the Sanctuary late at night.. One ewe was in a bad way, and couldn't stand but, with a bit of TLC, she soon started to recover.
The costs of providing the transport, veterinary, and general long term feed and care of these sheep is considerable. This was amazing to see. I am so happy for those animals and wish all animals could all be treated the same, with love and compassion. I am vegetarian and hate to see any animals being abused. I just wish all animals could be allowed to live out their lives without misery!
