  • @largehosier In conclusion, I suggest that you would appear far more engaging and credible if you actually put intelligent thought into your opinions first.

Finally, despite the work that I am engaged in, and the investments I make, in a global context, I would not bet that technology is going to rescue all 9 billion people on earth in an age of growing scarcity 50 years from now. Me and mine will be fine. It's the others I worry about.

  • @Jangle2007 (cont3)...a place to put the capital gains to work. Carbon nano-tube technology and nano-tech in general for both the construction industry and solar industry offer interesting futures.

The point of all this? You carelessly throw terms around like "Luddite, jealous, bleating" while knowing relatively nothing. I'm not going to attack you for it, but I am going to point out that you appear both ignorant and poorly educated when making sweeping assumptions based on...what?

  • @largehosier (Cont2) That's where I and my company come in: helping incubate and fund marketplace commercialization. Sometimes we lose, sometimes we win huge.

Over time I've always bet on technology, coming in and out of Microsoft, Dell, Qualcomm, Apple, etc. I bet on the mainstream as well, accumulating Ford stock when priced below $1.20. I presently own short-of a half million shares of Ford at a dollar-cost-average of $1.04. I'll start sales in low-mid $20s and then need....

  • @largehosier (cont1) Far from shunning technology, I invest in the very start-ups in the fields that your list bluntly refers to, only in much greater detail. Presuming you actually pay attention, you must know that the real technological front is material sciences. Energy issues regarding storage and power levelling require cutting-edge battery technology such as L-ion nano-phosphate and new cathode battery materials, such as those licensced from Argonne National laboratory.

  • @largehosier @largehosier "Luddite/Anarchist, jealous, pathetic bleating, etc." Wow. Is that all? I'll respond to you hear showing the respect and courtesy your rant did not. If you feel the need to respond after, I hope that you will do so with restraint and equal respect.

How wrong you are. Over the twenty+ years that I've invested money as a venture capitalist, I've personally profitted over several hundred million dollars. Not bragging. Just fact.

  • @largehosier If I am jealous of anything, it is the ability of some people to exist and make decisions free from guilt or knowledge of consequences. Clearly I can't (and won't) argue with anybody who themselves are ignorant and biased, and need to learn a great deal more science and physics to have an intelligent conversation. I would suggest that if a technological fix is available, now is a good time to state what it is.

  • The Rapsody RS50 is better and Luxy

  • @Jangle2007 your ignorance/bias/jealousy is showing. Technology makes this boat possible, technology will deal with carbon emissions (IF they are an issue), it's all part of progressive evolution that has taken us from the stone age.

  • thumbs up if you build these ;)

  • @Bellasbest lol 550 000 euro

  • @brazzr no but my husband is rich... and he owns one.

  • @bmwfanz a lot more than a xbox. keep dreamin.

  • @Bellasbest how much does it cost?

  • @Jangle2007 Hey Al (Gore)... we know its you! you forgot to mention your 11 mansions, G5, and your 200 ft house boat !.... hope you liked the massage

  • Så vitt jag vet så står det inte någon V62a i skaris. Familjen wik's manhattan 64a står där på en privat brygga och det är Uppsalas största båt, eller ja, år 2000+ :) Möjligtvis utomlands, Stockholm? ;>

  • yeah, we'll let our kids and grand-kids deal with the climate change issues caused by the emissions from the enormous fuel use of large boats. Never mind how much this helps keep terrorist-supporting nations in business because of their sale of oil to gas-guzzling nations.

Enjoy your boat. But you don't get a moral pass.

  • hi glad you like the v62,me and my team make the cockpit seating on this one,the sunbed arrangement is quite neat, nice layout I think.

  • This is a yacht I currently own. Its has vertical portlights, plus a stateroom and a large twin cabin, and it handles really well. My favourite bit is the space for the sunbed and, the wetbar, barbecue etc... love it.

  • real beauty
