Is it predominantly boys who have autism? Wait why am I asking when I can look it up on the net. Anyway, that's what it seems to me at least - predominantly boys.

@TMBLyrics Be careful making a judgment on what you see. These kids learn on manyy levels at one time. What you are seeing is NOT all that is going on. Too much stimulation can often lead to frustration and a way of escape from so much coming at them at one time. For instance we look at a room they look at a room in a thousand pictures.. Just be aware.. K?

@kotopaka Well, yes and no. Boys are dx'd more often than girls for sure. 1 in 70 boys are dx'd with it now and 1 in 150 children overall. However, I think girls are underdiagnosed because they present differently, with different, less "texbook" symptoms.

not telling you how to raise your child, but you should probably keep him stimulated with something other than himself, playing cards, and shooting a camera on him. i think educational programming such as noggin (nick jr) or something like sesame street would be very good for him to watch, even if he is stimming, because he will be feeding off information and paying attention, even if you think he's not.

@TMBLyrics Actually, you are exactly telling me how to raise my child. No one asked you. Bugger off.
