The Notre Dame Choir (NYC) sings the Tenebræ motet "Sicut ovis" by Italian composer Don Carlo Gesualdo (c.1560-1613).

Sicut ovis ad occisionem ductus est, [He was led like a lamb to the slaughter;]
et dum male tractaretur, [against the evil done to him]
non aperuit os suum: [came no complaint from his lips.]
traditus est ad mortem, [He was given up to death,]
ut vivificaret populum suum. [to give his people life.]

Tradidit in mortem anuman suam, [He surrendered himself to death]
et inter iniquos reputatus est. [and was counted among the wicked.]

Ut vivificaret populum suum. [To give his people life.]

—Isaiah 53:7b, 9; cf. John 10:11-18
