@darthkimball well its a mildly complicated process, but its easy enough if you follow the instructions, try googling cyanogenmod or theunlockr to get started, i should warn you though, it is possible to severely mess up your phone if you don't follow the instructions

@raydar670 what do you mean root it to get 2.2? how would i do that?

@darthkimball they are no longer updating the g1 it will be stuck at the 1.6 android build forever (that means no flash) :( the good thing is that you can root it and get 2.1 or 2.2 on it (2.2 has flash)

I have a g1, i thought the flash was going to be included in the firmware but my phone is up to date with no flash player... how do i get it?
