Louise Meyer and Patricia McArdle explain to me how the Solar Cookers work. It seemed like a sun-powered crock pot, to me! Their websites are www.solarcooking.org , www.she-inc.org , and www.solarcookers.org . It is amazing that you can cook food or clean water, using a cardboard box, flour & water for paste, and tinfoil.
