ever since i watched this video, i have worked and worked and worked on my left foot. WORTH EVERY SECOND OF STRUGGLE!!! =D

That snare sounds awesome!

I wonder what Jason McGerr thinks of the drum beat in 1979 by Smashing Pumpkins. There's some sweet high hat action in that song.
-
those hi hats sound gorgeous

@IAmTheNietzsche i personally think The Photo Album and transatlanticism are their most interesting (and my favorite..) albums of theirs. Check it out.

holy fuck, i had no death cab had a good drummer, im gonna have to go actually give their music a chance now lol i had sorta written it off before without actually listneing, which was stupid of me

Jason is a fantastic drummer. That left-foot hi hat pedaling is oh so subtle but really adds another dimension to an otherwise average drum beat. Kind of like a Steve Gadd type of thing- very cool.
@MATTlovesDRUMS haha i read that section, it was good advice and he gave lots of detail. even though i have a 22 inch i could apply some of what he said to my kick drum. eg beater placement
he's an amazingly fluid and solid drummer who never overplays and knows how to compliment a song.
a central inspiration to my playing along with steve jordan, of course!
