It's a little like the movie 300. It was criticized as nothing more than a lot of overly buff chests and abs, not a serious movie at all. In fact some said the torsos had to be special effects, they were so cut. That's not a criticism if it's what the movie maker wanted to make. A lot of young men got to test their homoerotic tastes, and call the movie 'awesome' without ever admitting that they did anything other than see an action flick. (Not that that was the principle purpose of the movie.

The purpose of this video wasn't to be historically accurate; it was a quasi artistic excuse to show young men in action while wearing thongs. And I applaud the results.
