@NerfLad The black iron is a darker sound than the stainless - great for fat backbeats. Man, I'm really sorry about the high-end swirlies on this vid; it was the export function of Final Cut X, not my micing. Never again...

@NerfLad I got it from Keplinger for $450 as he was selling it for a previous customer that couldn't play any longer. A new one would be in the $800-ish range. I also have a black iron and brass snare from him.

@NerfLad There's definitely nothing "starter" about the Kep! It tips the scales at nearly 20 pounds, too.
