@Keiretsu Yeah this record probably influenced more albums than it sold. Well said.

I don't think so, and i like it better this way. Now the music is not like 10 years ago where there was a big revolution (with a lot of great minds) in the rock music with grunge, shoegaze and post-rock movement, i think they would go the commercial way and make an album without ideas, like all reformated groups (and as they invented the post-rock movement without making a single penny, i don't blame them).

Are they likely to reform?
HAHAH. Now Slint are grunge? Slint are the FOUNDER OF THE FUCKIN' POST-ROCK!
Grunge isn't "slow", it's pretty fast indeed.
"they are much more media friendly and smooth"
Media friendly? Smooth?
Have you ever listened to a Slint album, at least? How can you ever find the Slint as "media friendly"?
Whispered words, extreme distortion, songs more than 5 minutes length... how can they ever been media friendly? They were pretty underground, in fact.

Great music, all I can ask for before going sleep and dreaming that I will never wake up again.
