Well would ya look at that! Just look at it.

@35Berrin It goes that fast because you geared it to. If you gear it to go 50 at its max rpm, it will. If you gear it to go 25 at max rpm, it will, and will have 2x the torque.

He should of made it into a go kart. i tuned my carb and got slicks for it now i get 50mph im guessing i slammed the gas on a rainy day and i started drifting from side to side trying to gain control and man that thing is way to fast to be a go kart if ya ask me :D

Those GC engines burn up cam shafts thats why they stopped making them. The GCV160 and GCV190's don't have that problem because they are vertical shaft engines. The oil in the crankcase can pool up in the valve cover and keep the plastic cam from melting.

Clean the carb. Then put a load on it. Adjust the setting with the load on it.

i have a question about this engine. i have the exact same engine that is on a generator and im thinking about puting it on a go kart. the one i have has a rod sort of thing that comes out of the crankcase and when you start it up it rocks back and fourth for a couple seconds and then settles and the engine runs at a constant speed but when i pushed the rod forward it felt like it was pushing back and the engine made a rattling noise. I was wondering if this engine would work on a go kart or not

hey you should check out mine, i put it on a go kart and it ran great! until the master link came loose on my chain and flew off into my lap :P haha got that on camera

like others have said. its likely the goveroner not set correctly for the lack of load
-
theres motors are tuned to have the load of a pump on the shaft. without that, it causes it to surge. once you put a load on it like a generator like you said it will probably smooth out
your voice sounds nerdy

You need to clean out the needle valve in the carb. It's always the problem with there honda's.
