Yamato - The Drummers of Japan

Yamato -- The Drummers of Japan. McAninch Arts Center, Mainstage. Taiko drumming originated on the battlefields and in the courts of Japan more than 1,500 years ago. Yamato hails from Nara, Japan, the birthplace of Japanese culture and have brought their music and passion to concert halls across the world. The Times of London describes the evening as, "elegantly staged . . ., part Zen, part slapstick." The company says that the moment the heartbeat coincides with the rhythm of the soul it's YAMATO.
