High School Sucks (the musical)

High school sucked for me, but my wife loved it. When I see Fox's Glee, I'm haunted by memories having acne, getting picked on, and teased. But Wifeofnalts remembers fondly her days as a cheerleading captain, senior prom, and having solos in chorus.

Thanks to Glee for okaying this satire, and to ChurchofBlow for the instrumental. And thanks to Freddy the dog for holding still. Oh- and wifeofnalts for her singing, even if it's not as beautiful as mine. :)

Funny video! But just let me add my two cents- I, too, was unpopular and a geek in high school, and that's exactly the reason why I love Glee. It's all about rooting for the underdog and letting people know that it's okay to be someone other than the cheerleader or the popular kid. It's not about "high school is so awesome." Quite the contrary. It also addresses several important issues, such as homosexuality, anti-bullying, teen pregnancy, and rights of the disabled.

Have the people who made this actually ever watched Glee before? It's not about high school being great, it's about how difficult it is for those who aren't the most popular, it's a shout-out for all the underdogs who feel like their alone. They've got this really mixed up!

I love Kurt! Also, I'm in high school, and until very recently I was not popular, i didn't have many friends, and the ones I did have were frequently bad for me. poisonous friends they're called. High school sucks, and it never ends. end of story. there re only two things you need in that drive by shooting- GOOD friends, and survival instincts.
