In this video, you'll find B'sue back in the messy workshop explaining the pro's and cons of the different glues that may be used to create collage jewelry in the effusive 'glitz' style with brass stampings, rhinestones and even found items. B'sue has made literally thousands of pieces during her artistic journey, and will share some of the pieces that initially piqued her interest along with some simple techniques. • Soldering, riveting, sawing....wire wrapping, etc...all good to learn. We have videos about rivets and wire, and we sell those things too. I don't want any new mixed media artist to be discouraged by comments made here to the effect that if you use glue, your jewelry will be substandard. Glue used properly is fine. If anyone disagrees, I understand, but the comments do not belong here, where the proper use of glue is being taught. I am here to enable people to begin a journey. Enjoy!

  • To the poster who mentioned that professionals do not use or avoid glue: please consider that glue is a vital part of the mixed media circuit. It can be used with great success. You mention that you are successful, and I am glad to know that. Many artists, including myself, have been very successful in using glue. We love to hear opinions and encouraging commentary, especially when it is accurate, but unfortunately we have quite a a diff in opinion based on long experience. ;-)

  • I would not know WHY 'professionals' cannot use glue. Every artist - whether professional or crafter - can think OUTSIDE the box. That's the key that allows you to use whatever you want to.

  • You mention Wendy Gell, I just discovered her, she lives near me. I took a class from her last week and loved what I learned. Now I have discovered you, and am on my way to creating some wonderful collage pieces. Thank you!!!

  • You are wonderful. I came across you by chance and you are great, what informative videos and there I was thinking I had tested it all...! I was looking for info on glue, having searched high and low for strong adhesives, and spent a fortune testing to use plastic/plastic and metal/metal, also metal/plastic. I have now ordered e6000 to see how that works.

  • my wife and i are enjoying watching these as much as going to the movies , only we get knowledge for our niche here. thanks brenda Sue
