Sonic 3D Blast play through of Green Grove Zone 1. Beats the world record by 4 seconds.

In-Game Timer: 0:47.

This is a tool assisted movie, using slowdown and savestates. For more info, visit TASvideos.org.

EDIT: I just found many frame savers. I discovered a memory address that tells me what Sonics speed is, so I was able to deduce how to make this game optimal by watching his speed. So I'm redoing this stage, keep an eye out for that in the coming days.

  • @freakinweeee Yeah! Wow!

  • cara acaba a green grove e 1min vc detonou o jogo parabens . cometarista do games do sonic jjj042010

  • I have a feeling I played this game when I was like about 4 or 5 ;A; Can't remember much.

  • @namelessv125 Well I appreciate the explainations and it clears a good bit up. Might have to go back on a couple other videos and excuse myself for being an ass =P

  • @Skycrusher that's the point of speed runs you don't necessarily have to use glitches, but you can use the exploitation of areas you never knew were there to get from point to point faster.you can beat act 1 of sonic 1 in about 24-26 seconds and people have been doing this LOOONG before TAS showed up so, any speed run (even without a TAS) is a showcase of exploitation, glitches, ect. ect. cause that's just how speed runs work. and btw this TAS didn't show off any glitches.

  • @Danaroth A showcase of exploitations, glitches, technical info, ect. Thank you!

  • @Skycrusher It's not supposed to be a show of skill, but merely to show what is possible to do with a game. How fast the game can be possibly beat, what kind of tricks can be done, and I guess it also shows a person's dedication to said game, as a TAS could potentially take a lot of time and effort to make.

The way I look at it, a TAS can act like a benchmark for those who do regular speedruns.

  • @Danaroth I believe I have, could you tell me what TAS is?

  • @Skycrusher Then you've missed the point of TAS.

  • This game sucks so much dick.
