Two songs, "Remnant Head" and "Time", from Monophobia's first Bull & Gate gig (famous North London indie venue) in July 2001. Originally webcast live by OnlineTVUK.com, I purchased a VHS copy of the gig for a ridiculous amount of money and have digitally remastered and presented this section of the recording using Cubase SX3 and Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0.

On a more personal note I am glad to have the chance to put these two particular songs on the net. One of the songs ("Remnant Head") was demo'ed very badly and the other has never been recorded at all so I am glad that we at least have this live recording.

  • haha, i also wanna find out who that is dancing or conducting lol

  • That is an old hippie friend of the singer, probably lives in a little flat somewhere in the Hammersmith/Shepherds Bush area of west London and smokes tight little joints.

  • Have you "copyrighted" (i dont know what its called) the name Monophobia?

  • I registered it in 2000, but band names are not really enforceable unless the band's making money or has a record deal or whatever. UK indie band The Charlatans have to call themselves The Charlatans UK outside of Britain to avoid confusion with the American country and western band of the same name.

  • Who is the drunk conductor?

  • One of Tony's mates.

  • haha cool. is monophobia now signed with an independent label? you guys are quite cool

  • the japanese group is "moi dix mois", they made a song called monophobia (I was looking for a cover of that song and I found you XD)

    good job, btw^^

  • There was also a Danish techno artist from Denmark back in the late '90s, a couple of heavy metal bands (a recent one from Middlesbrough and current one from USA), an American folk singer and (I think) a Japanese goth group. I think we got there first however, having taken the name back in 1992.

  • I think your name is taken, there is an old band in Sweden also called Monophobia!
