Did you think to go shorter like a buzz to get rid of the colored hair before letting it grow ? Because at 6 inches/year growing it will take around 1-1 1/2 year before a decent bob, after that it will be hard to come back to short hair!

I think we can hold you to it, should you choose to grow it out. We might even allow the trims, so long as they are, as you say, odd trims. Any normal or average trims and the deal's off. :D
