Flash Mob: New York City Dances for Michael Jackson! pt 1

New Yorkers forgot about the Rebel Starr album listening session going on inside Negril Village (in the West Village), the premier Jamaican food restaurant and lounge, when this enthusiastic fan came by in his colorfully painted car blasting some of MJ's hits. It starts out pretty tame, but eventually people from all walks of life flood the streets, dancing and singing in tribute to the King of Pop. It was amazing and I'm honored to have been a part of it. This was even better and just as unifying as the night Obama won the 2008 election. Of course police eventually broke it up. smh

the girl in the white shirt and jeans is not only beautiful, but she is clearly the reason the party git started. it was about to be a crazy guy pulled up in a car until she started dancing.

It's seems people didn't read the description i.e. "It starts out pretty tame, but eventually people from all walks of life flood the streets, dancing and singing in tribute to the King of Pop." Please see the videos for parts 2-5 to watch the celebration grow. IMO a true flash mob for it's spontaneity.
