The WurliTzer Monster Military Band Organ is one of the largest styles of Band Organ ever made by the Rudolph WurliTzer Company. Only three are known to exist today.

One, which we hear in these recordings, operates at the Kit Carson County Carousel in Colorado. http://www.kitcarsoncountycarousel.com/

The other two Monsters left in existence are in private collections. One plays the original 100 key roll along with an external 165 roll frame. The other played one of the large B.A.B. scales (87 keys) and was for sale as of a few years ago.

  • @robertreblee same here general

  • I can't beleive you don't know this song lol, My favorite in the world, it's Dixie! Hooray for the South!

  • The sound of this organ reminds me somewhat of the sound of a small church/theater pipe organ

  • @KawhackitaRag Those fancifully named tunes on the Kit Carson Wurlitzer 155 (Monster) band organ are not by Art Reblitz, although Art has arranged some tunes for that organ. The fanciful names were simply assigned by the producers of the CD to replace unidentified old, original Wurlitzer 155 roll titles.

  • song too could be Speed King March

  • @tregnier279 according to anglerfly, this is the "Sweet Giraffe Waltz", which would make it a new composition by Art Reblitz, I believe.

  • Good old dixieland never had a carousel organ before.

  • Oh yes! The CD had new names for the tunes that match the music. It is named "the sweet giraffe waltz.

  • It sounds familiar, I heard it in the past so I might try to find it.
