The New America Foundation and the Heinrich Böll Foundation are pleased to host Imtiaz Gul, a Pakistani journalist and author of the newly-released book The Most Dangerous Place: Pakistan's Lawless Frontier, which surveys Pakistan's wild tribal regions that serve as headquarters of al-Qaeda and the Taliban.

  • Glad I found this! I really like your video :)

  • @matthewj1985 LOL!!!!!! Superpower?! hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok...

  • @deewana16 can't agree with you there. Pakistan's biggest threat today is from militants who have blown the country to pieces. Its important to focus on that instead of the usual geopolitical "great games" that Pakistanis love to pontificate over.

  • @matthewj1985 India a rising superpower ? please.

  • @matthewj1985 Pakistan uses LET in the same way India uses the BLA. Tit for tat right? As for India, Pakistan has a right to deal with its adversaries in anyways its security establishment damn well pleases. Western imperialists should spare any lectures on underhanded tactics. No one has created, funded or harbored more terrorist than America its self. Once uncle sam's ass is stomped in Afghanistan the pashtun issues will be resolved in due time.

  • @matthewj1985 Yes me being Pakistani makes me more intimately familiar if anything but moving on.. Pakistan did not have a problem on its border until America's "war on terror" arrived on our shores and in Afghanistan. If you think Israel has no meddlings in the Islamic world than its a sign of your own lack of insight, and not really a problem i feel the need to elaborate on. You are obviously an apologist for American imperialism and Israeli colonization.

  • @deewana16 Pakistan pioneered using groups like LET for their foreign policy. You are clearly a Pakistani and can not take an objective look at this issue. India is a member of the world community with a large educated and English speaking population. On the other hand Pakistan can't even enforce it's own writ of law in FATA and the NWFP and is harboring international terrorist.

Ask yourself who has been setting off bombs all over your country and killing your people, India or your own TTP?

  • this journalist is a hack

  • @matthewj1985 I am not too sure of india's GLOBAL superpower credentials but I suppose time will tell. You would have to understand the rivalry between india and pakistan, specially as it pertains to the hegemonic designs for their region to fully under india's motives. It WOULD be nice if indian policies showed more sense than american ones but unfortunately..There is support for Baloch rebels and not to forget the 1971 war. Please do not defend that criminal colony, its deplorable.

  • If thers acceptable loss by pakistani-american bombs then ud have to accept ur civilian loss by AlQaeda !
