The 'contrails' are simply an overlay which shows time-lapse ghosting of the movement of all moving bodies.

The original footage is 100% authentic, and released by NASA

It was filmed from the Space Shuttle Discovery on September 15, 1991 during the STS-48 mission.

That says nothing of the over 450+ witnesses of the Disclosure Project willing to testify under oath, before congress that not just UFOs but "Craft of Unknown Origin" are, in fact, very real...

We are talking about Pilots, Police, Military, Scientists, Government employees, NASA Astronauts, All Professional Witnesses! Advanced Radar and Tracking systems don't hallucinate, just like space junk can't accelerate or change direction without a force...

femr2;- what you nuts can't grasp, is that in space even the tiniest objects, bits of ice, etc, can appear large, being illuminated by unattenuated sunlight and distorted by camera artefacts, etc. You simply DON'T KNOW the distances of these objects, so you can't say they are "far away". They are at varying distances from the camera. The "curved trajectory" for example could be an object much further away in an orbital path.

To assume that these are UFO's is about as dumb as it gets.

Until you can positively identify these object (which change direction and trajectory) as bits of ice or whatever, than we have ever right to "assume that these are UFO's"...

N.B. this is a time-lapse vid of about 5 real-time seconds per frame. That is why the star paths appear to change nearly simultaneously with respect to the debris paths. The times used below refer to the real-time events as disclosed in the articles cited in this vid's description box.

If anyone is still interested in understanding this vid, here's what happened: (The geometry of this explanation is best understood by referring to fig. 8 of the "flash" article cited above.) Without the excellent groundwork laid in the two cited articles, what happened would never have become apparent.

At time 0, the shuttle's thruster fires, slightly changing the motion of the shuttle and camera. This is directly evidenced by the change in apparent path of the stars in the field of view.

8 seconds later, the moving and expanding plume of exhaust gas crosses a region in space where it reflects sunlight directly onto the camera lens from a region which appears to the camera to be in the direction of the "second illuminator." Diffused, the exhaust plume takes one second longer to pass through this angle of reflection than the duration of the original thruster impulse.

Particles of ice near the shuttle were also warmed by the reflected sunlight, causing their velocities to change.

The thruster-modified continuing change in orientation of the shuttle with respect to the sun accounts for the change in ambient illumination.

my first reaction is the blast theory. i dont know much about spac-physics, but the fact that they all changed direction at the same time makes me think the objects recieved that force, and did not accellerate on their own.
