Hi Piper. They are reknowned to break easily at the bottom.

@cinematicfilms Hi Cinematic films, I am thinking of getting one of these... could you perhaps elaborate on this design fault... I did read a review that says the bottom is a bit stiff, but you can buy alan keys to loosen the mechanism at the bottom.

@91ststudios Thank you, but do you think any other cheaper monopod will do trick or does the 561b is really that exceptional? Does the tripod foot really work or is it just a gimmick?

@viniciusb We've shot over 40 live events with three of these monopods and they are simply essential for shooting quickly with a DSLR. I'd completely recommend it.

This monopod breaks so easily - there is a design fault. The bottom is glued to the end of the pole which after while falls off.
