This is a January 23, 2012 press conference sponsored by the New Hampshire chapter of Smart Girl Politics, a national social media based group of conservative Republican women.

The occasion was "school choice week" and the media launch in support of legislation that would create an Education Tax Credit (school voucher) program in New Hampshire.

At Defending New Hampshire Public Education, we believe that the program that is presented here in as an asset to New Hampshire public education would actually be a missile aimed at the heart of the New Hampshire school system. It could take as much as $200 million and 15% of our students out of New Hampshire public schools over the next 10 years.

You will hear a reference "the Florida study," that proves that competition from voucher programs like the one proposed here actually leads to improvement of the public school system. If we try to read the study, you find something quite different. Our analysis is here: http://bit.ly/xIBpmu
