Our Lady Peace Live in Sydney!
Both OLP and the opening band ' Alert the Medic ' played entirely new songs for us. First performance of ' The Right Stuff'.

See, in this one I let Steve Mazur give me a show. I didn't snub him like I did when they were playing Clumsy, hehe.
I was such a jerk and didn't notice! Haha!!

  • aha, i was there.

and i must say the fans in the stands were effing horrible.

most boring bunch of people i've seen in my entire life.

  • Yea. The people on the floor were certainly feeling it. But the people in the seats didn't show any enthusiasm whatsoever. It makes me worried that they'll take that into consideration and not come to Sydney again for another 12 years...

  • But I feel so bad for Raine. I know he really cares about the fans, and whether they "feel" the music. Hear him, "are you guys feeling this?" I think he's recognizing that the fans have become disillusioned with the band's music.

And I must reconsider that even though this song isn't Starseed or Hope, it's pretty decent, specially toward the end.

  • Yea. Like I said, the people on the floor were awesome, but the people in the seats showed no enthusiasm whatsoever. It's like, did they even want to be there?

  • hell ya i ust got back for their show in st johns, i love this new one...and white flag, both new songs are awsome...for the record, he yelled out "this definatly isnt sydney!" lmao

  • yea. It was the people in the seats. They figured since they were in the seats they didn't matter, so they just sat there and didn't give anything back to the band. Us on the floor however, I was right up front and it was insane. It actually got pretty violent too.

  • I hope you're referring to me because i wouldn't want to be mistaken for a fan...

  • well with a person with no music taste like you, I can see where your coming from.

  • it is not a cover. on the other video he says "kidding" after he says "it's a backstreet boys cover." he's joking. settle down people. and search the lyrics for the new kids on the block "right stuff" and compare them...not the same song.

  • Sure enough, five seconds later, I'd find the video where he says it's a cover. Kind of disappointing.

  • As far as I'm concerned, this isn't a cover. I was there that night in Sydney, and they introduced it as one of their new songs.

And speaking as someone who was cheering from the stands, there was plenty of enthusiasm to go around that night, on the floor and off.

  • you do know this is a cover song. Raine says in the beginning of another vid before they play it that its a cover.

  • I was in the seats

    and it was prety boring

I tryed to get into it

but everyone just starred at me

    like wtf .

people gotta learn how to rock

  • I was in the seats i was freakin loving it but one guy feel asleep so i through a bottle at him lol... THIS CONCERT WAS AWSOME

  • the moshpit is the best damn place ive ever been, rocking ur hearts out, jumping, maybe the foolish things ive done with great enthusiasm. anyway i gotta say olp still has the shit in their hands.
