Williams Grove at Mechanicsburg, PA. Train day's. 0-6-0 #643, the only operating Pennsylvania steam locomotive doing her thing. Built by Altoona shops in 1901.

  • Its a Lunk alright, also sounds like a PRR whistle, I know, I grew up with the PRR K-4's as a teenager. Just excellent sound.

  • @trainman551 - The restoration of E6 Atlantic #460 is only COSMETIC and 1361 will take a long time to restore....

  • ahh thats where your rong now prr E-6 class Atlantic will run and people are trying to restore k4s 1361 the four pennsylvania E seieries desiles still run.

  • I don't know much about the loco, but from the squat shape of the boiler and high cab, it almost seems as though she was built to have a tank across her boiler.

  • Makes me sad to see the EOT though.....
