They sure were different times back then. Dundalk was a tough place, extremely republican, and to go in there with Union Jacks flying from cars was insanity. But everyone made it out in one piece. I can tell you, that back then, if I went into Portadown with tricolours flying from my car, I probably wouldn't get out alive.
