I'm not positive, but I believe there is a winding crank sitting in front of the clock, that fits on the metal spindle that you can see below the clockhands. You turn it to pull the two wheeled weight up the ramp. Very nice clock! I want to build one, but I really like the gravity escapements of the Solaris and the Model T, I'm undecided.
