Don has suffered a lot. His wife passed away in 2001. Some years later his son dies aswell. What we are listening, in compositions like these, is probably part of the pain that Don has suffered. God bless you man, you are not alone

It's been over a year since I last listened to this piece, I was going through hard times and a family member had recently died. I cried like a blubbering idiot.
Today I'm going through hard times again, and took another listen to this piece. Sure enough, I cried like a blubbering idiot.
This music is always here when I need it most.
