  • oh god...i just try to make the traditional one,and it turned so soft like puri and soogy...don't know why...i used baking powder and didn't add corn starch...

    my mum is so angry after me,i really messed her kitchen...

    If you don't add corn starch, you won't get crispy jalebis. If you don't have corn starch, you can use rice flour even but without these flours, jalebis won't be crispy. Remember that all purpose flour makes things chewy and soggy if you do not add other flours with it.

    Which one did you try? Instant or traditional? Jalebi gets soft if sugar syrup is not thick enough and if you do not add corn starch in batter, it won't be crispy...
