Haiti may be one of the poorest countries in the world, but it's also home to some very wealthy communities. It's a situation that's creating a significant divide between the haves and the have-nots. Al Jazeera's Teresa Bo reports from the capital Port au Prince on the huge disparity between rich and poor.

their fare share of taxes. While all of these big businesses are sending American jobs oversees. What the media failed to tell you that there's a difference between Urban poverty and rural poverty. Rural poverty is mostly whites and urban poverty is mostly non-whites. Since poor rural white have no advocacy group, it's mostly African Americans that's talks about poor whites in the South and rural areas, not for the most part other white people.

The vast majority of Haitians maybe poor, but as a whole they value education above all. It's funny how you state that blacks don't do any when it comes to their economic situation. If you have noticed; if you are not watching corporate own news, it's the Black National Caucus and the NAACP and non of the Republican candidates that mostly asking Congress to help out the poor. They're more educated than people in the Unites States. Since Haiti doesn't have a public school system, poor parents are willing to give half of their money in oder to send their children to school.

Sir, if you don't know anything about a country, I suggest you don't put your two cents in it. On paper Haiti is poor, but in actually it's not. There is a vast cap between the rich and poor. It's the same thing that going on in Europe, America and around the world. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Haiti can feed itself and it has the means for infrastructure; its problems stems from political corruptionsEven in the U.S. government there's corruption.
