@youngheartsofficial I don't know if you can do it with an HV30 actually.
My best tip is to get a Canon 550D or 7D ;) Can't go wrong with that :)
But... if you absolutely want to try with the HV30, you can purchase a 35mm adapter with some manual lenses to go with that ;)
The latter is the most expensive choice...

Yes, to get HD on youtube you have to upload in 1280x720.

did you shoot letterbox or squeeze mode?
how did you export your footage?

Squeeze.
Export as .avi with no compression.
Square pixels.
Change the pixels to 1050x756
After I use quicktime with the h.264 codec to turn it into a .mov file
