@16uncgirl I totally agree with you! And just another add on, whether these terms meant something different in the past, some were even then used as offensive terms. For example, Fag used to mean cigarette like FreakyFur mentioned. But, Fag only meant cigarette because you burned cigarettes like you'd burn or set fire to a gay man/ lesbian woman just for having that sexual preference. It's a really horrible way to think about it but unfortunately that's how it was and still is in some places.

Yes, words like faggot, dyke and queer have other meanings, but when they are used to describe a homosexual man or woman, they become homophobic, gay slurs. I'm also disappointed that you have to use the word gay to describe some things. A person can be gay, a thing cannot. I'm glad you support ThinkB4YouSpeak.
