they are a tidal species, you can go from full freshwater to 1.022 in about 4 hours. they experience that each day twice with the in and out flowing tides in their natural environment. and thanks for caring enough about your fish to give them what they really need! i hate seeing these in freshwater. your comment "they arent very agressive" is a lie. ive yet to find a fish i can keep with my two... they have nipped the fins of everything ive kept with them. perhaps you can have better luck

green spotted puffers are awesome. I have one with a white spotted grouper. they are fun to watch

GSP can be quite aggressive, especially when they are larger. They have the ability to rip apart just about anything. But I do love them! One of the best fish to get.
im about to buy one of these fish ive got a huge reef tank and i was wandering how much they were

@allSaLTwater Very cheap. Maybe $6-7. If it s a reef im sure you have crabs and or/shrimp. These guys will eat them. Not reef safe at all.

How big is your main aquarium and what are good tank mates for the gsp?

Tank is only 30g.
I guess any other fish the same size as the puffer but never put them in the tank with shrimp.
