One of the film's better scenes. IMHO Nightwatching is dragged down by the clunky melodramatic elements, but the sections about the painting itself are terrific. Martin Freeman's performance is wonderful. Not the best Greenaway film by a mile but certainly has gorgeous things in it.

Damn fine ... the best perfect, super-hero's are NOT - they are artists who defiantly hold up mirrors, that we may 'ooh' and 'a-ah' in our ignorance.
No sense of humour ...
