Fourth of eight videos on How to Make a Didgeridoo.
This video covers how I go about cutting the wood in half.
I had myself filmed making a couple of didgeridoos using the split wood technique. By filming the process from beginning to end I aim to share some of the knowledge and experience I have learnt over recent years. In turn this will hopefully help others to make their own instrument.

  • Thanks for the comment. I do use a sander at times but the main reason is dust - in a workshop it makes a serious amount of mess and not good to breathe (outside it just gets everywhere and when you make a few didges...). Aside form that, all the time I work a piece of wood I am getting the feel of it and mentally working out the best way get the shape I want, in order to achieve the highest quality sound.
