With all respects, you are most welcome...Dont have Slumdog Millionaire in your mind, that is a distortion of what India has been, what it is and what it can be.From Slumdog, you will think India was,is and will be a slum. No...We Indians r deeply grateful 2 PBS 4 making such a wonderful documentary. India was royal & rich before the BRITs invasion.Brits are Iron legged people who spoil the land they enter. E.g Zimbabwe,Israel,South Africa,India. My grateful respects to you for your keenness.

English language is a curse for us. No country progressed on a foreign language (see topic on language of thinking). Brits came to rob us, divided us, and through their language, still rule us.

u ask any hindu, how many gods do u have? Nobody can answer. Beauty of Hindu is he sees god in everything, even in the person infront of him, and hence his respect for other people nd religions. India is only true secular country whre u hear mosques calling for prayer in loud speakers and chimes of church without any complaint from 80% hindus in India. Indian civilization is oldest nd powerful in histry, but Indians never crossed its borders and occupied other countries nd again its hindu cultur

The whole series of "The Story of India" is outstanding. Mr. M. Wood has incredible power of narrating the things. Its hard to turn around your head when he is telling a story. Great work !!!
