@Dexterluckful Wow, someone's a little hateful towards Southwest.
It was an unaccounted error on the pilot's part, not necessarily any fault on the airline.
Actually, not one SINGLE person has died while flying in a Southwest plane, so your complaint is inaccurate. Plus, as a frequent flyer, I've found Southwest to be one of my favorite airlines.
Maybe next time you're flying American Airlines or Frontier, your plane will catch on fire, as this one did, and several others have.
@dellave11 yup, that mostly can be the cause.... they try to land smoothly and float the whole runway,,, then when they notice they are running of.. they step on them..
although im no firefighter i do know that for faa regs they have to purposefully heat up the breaks and tires of the aircraft and let them burn as fire fighters watch to see if the aircraft can handle it so i would of thought that it wouldn't be able to catch the wing on fire but then again those 737s almost skim the floor there tires are so close to the wings so maybe...

i think it was between a hot landing and using to much break to soon.. definite pilot error....remeber that 150,000 pounds trying to stop to fast...
